Ittle Dew 2 is an action-adventure game created by the Swedish indie studio Ludosity and initially published by Nicalis. It serves as the sequel to the 2013 title, Ittle Dew. The game made its debut on November 15, 2016, on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A revised version known as Ittle Dew 2+ was later released for the Nintendo Switch on November 14, 2017, and the updated content became available for the Windows version on May 26, 2019. Notably, the Nintendo Switch is the sole platform that received a physical release of the game.

However, a significant development occurred on September 20, 2019, when Nicalis removed the game from all digital console platforms due to a strained relationship with the developer. The Steam release remained accessible since it was self-published. Eventually, Ludosity took matters into their own hands and re-released the game on the Nintendo Switch eShop on March 19, 2020.

Gameplay:

The game's storyline revolves around the main character, Ittle, and her cheerful companion, Tippsie, who find themselves marooned on an unfamiliar island after their raft breaks apart. Their objective is to retrieve the scattered raft pieces, repair their means of escape, and leave the island behind.

Ittle Dew 2 adopts an overhead perspective, akin to other action-adventure titles like The Legend of Zelda. The game unfolds in a vast overworld for players to explore, serving as a gateway to smaller, isolated areas known as dungeons, where the primary gameplay unfolds. Within these dungeons, players engage in combat, solve puzzles, and confront dungeon bosses to obtain the coveted Raft Pieces. There are eight Raft Pieces in total, and while a suggested order exists, players have the freedom to tackle them in any sequence they prefer. Complementing the primary dungeons are caves, housing individual puzzles or combat challenges that can yield collectibles or upgrades as rewards.

Similar to its predecessor, Ittle Dew 2 features items that can be discovered in dungeons to aid in combat and puzzle-solving, some of which are vital for progression. Notably, due to the game's open-ended nature, dungeons are designed to be conquerable with only the initial item found and the player's starting weapon. Likewise, caves can be completed without relying on dungeon items or upgrades. Moreover, players can locate duplicate dungeon items, which enhance their existing ones.

On Hardcore Gamer, the game garnered a rating of 3.5 out of 5. Jeremy Peeples, the author, noted that while Ittle Dew 2 "isn't flawless, it does iron out some of the rough edges from its predecessor."
